Hello! My name is Tayla and I will be guiding your dogs on their adventures :)

 

I moved to Portugal in 2021 from Cape Town, South Africa, where I ran a successful Dog Walking & Hiking business for 6 years.

Animal Behaviour has always fascinated me - I have a background in Wildlife Conservation, and worked in this field as a Research Assistant and Wildlife Game Ranger for a handful of years. These experiences - and the training involved -  has equipped me with a sharp eye (and ear!) for detail, lots of hours outdoors in the wilderness, as well as the drive to understand why animals behave the way they do.​

 

The goal of my business is to provide a trustworthy, reliable and high quality Dog Hiking service. When your dog is with me you can trust that they are in experienced and knowledgable hands!

My methods are force-free & science-based. I never use methods or tools that may cause your dog pain, discomfort, fear or intimidation. I am committed to maintaining current, science-based skills & knowledge through continued education.

My passion is to enrich the lives of our furry family members by focusing on the simple solutions to keep your dogs mentally and physically stimulated. I love how it allows me to combine my passion for outdoor adventure and animal behaviour.​
